as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. "She asked the library how she could go about banning books," he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. "The librarian was aghast." That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn't be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving "full support" to the mayor.

So Democrats, people she's fired and people who sued her and lost don't like her. Those are some fine sources.

Hopefully this will end the wave of sexism from the left.
Er, what was sexist about claiming she was in another party?

The majority cannot therefore be the elite.

So all this http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/9...477/878/581881 is lies? Wow.. thanks. I mean who would have thought that the AIP hired an impersonator to speak at their convention...
Jim Leach (Former GOP congressman) spoke at the DNC, Zell Miller gave the keynote address at the 2004 GOP address while still a sitting Democratic senator. I don't see your point.

Ths AIP is hardly a fringe movement of nutters. It elected a governor FFS.

    Which governor did they elect?

Re: Sarah Palin was never a member of Alaska Independence Party

Heres a good take on it
the United States is facing a situation where for the first time since 1860, we could end up with an elected official who is in favor of breaking up the Federal Union. On one side, we have a person who has favored, by her membership, secession from the American Republic on the basis of "States Rights." On the other, we have a black Presidential candidate who could finally heal the open scar of slavery and civil war, who could be President of the United States on the 150th anniversary of the firing on Fort Sumter.

We can go forward or we can go back. That is what this election is about.

Re: Sarah Palin was never a member of Alaska Independence Party

    Some clarification here:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's husband, Todd, twice registered as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a fierce states' rights group that wants to turn all federal lands in Alaska back to the state. Sarah Palin herself was never a member of the party, according to state officials.
