    I don't think so. Mainly because the parallels would be so similar to Iraq that most Americans would see through it. It would be seen as "another Iraq" from day one, which would actually take support away from the Republicans.

    The problems the Democrats have in the polls is more to do with a lack of trust in the anointed than anything the Republicans are doing. The election is Obama's and the Democrats' to lose. Are they succeeding?

    Obama 41%

    Nevada poll:
    McCain 48%
    Obama 45%

    Virginia poll:
    McCain 48%
    Obama 47%

    Colorado:
    McCain 49%
    Obama 48%

    This is the first time McCain has led Obama in this state in a Rasmussen poll, and the second time in a CO poll and as such is highly significant.

    Minnesota:
    Obama 49%
    McCain 45%

    Obama's lead in MN down 8%.

    New Jersey poll:
    Obama 51%
    McCain 41%

    Washington poll:
    Obama 51%
    McCain 44%

    Wisconsin:
    Obama 47%
    McCain 42%

    Pennsylvania:
    Obama 44%
    McCain 36%

    Virginia:
    Obama 43%
    McCain 43%

    The lead is well within the margin of error and we have no idea how reputable the pollsters were. Let's not read anything into it.
