Rupert Murdoch says Obama will win in landslide

    CNN

Rupert Murdoch offered a dire prediction Wednesday for John McCain's chances in the general election.

He will lose in a landslide, the News Corp. chairman said at a California conference, according to Reuters.

The News Corp. chairman, often viewed as a messenger for the Republican Party given his holdings include several media organizations with a conservative bent, also showered praise on the Illinois senator, calling him a "rock star."

While calling himself a friend of McCain, Murdoch said his lengthy stint in Congress has led the Arizona senator to make so many compromises that it is not clear where he stands on the major issues. He also called McCain "unpredictable," and questioned his knowledge on economic issues.

News Corp's holdings include Fox News, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Post. The Post endorsed Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton earlier this year.
Interesting, not sure if Murdoch is trying to accurately predict here or actually influence - I'm a little puzzled ...

It could be some sort of reverse psychology tactic to keep democratic voter turnout low and Republican turnout high by saying "hey, he'll win in a landslide"; Obama supporters think he'll win anyway and stay home, Republicans come out in force, John McCain gets sworn in as POTUS on January 20th and Murdoch gets his way.

I really doubt that's it. I would imagine that the number of Dem voters who would be influenced by Murdoch to stay at home could be counted on the fingers of one hand.

Murdoch is a wily old crone, and has always been adept at shifting with the times (Tory 1992, Labour 1997). He has probably read the tea leaves and noted the virulently anti-GOP atmosphere in the US, and decided to back the likely winner. I hope he's right, but I wouldnt have the same degree of confidence

Don't get me wrong, I hope he is sincere. However I just think that although Obama will be the Democratic nominee and have the full support of the party, this election will fought on independent territory, and I think they could easily go either way given McCains "moderate bi-partisanism". Oh how I wish Romney, Giuliani or Huckabee had been the nominee. This election would over already.

This is just Murdoch taking a swipe at McCain - the old dogs of the Republican Party are not too happy that the maverick McCain has been nonimated as the party's candidate.

The Council on Foreign Relations will win by a landslide since only their members get to run after the primaries .

Comments like this from the 'Digger' might confirm what some already suspect - the globalists are setting up Obama for assassination to trigger internal racial strive within the US.

Divide and rule is as old as the hills.

Re: Rupert Murdoch says Obama will win in landslide

If Obama can't win within his own Party's Primaries by a Landslide it bodes ill he could carry it off in November...

He might of course win but it certainly won't be by a Landslide.

But if I were a betting man I reckon it's McCain for President if Obama is his opponent.

Re: Rupert Murdoch says Obama will win in landslide

    He may be right.

The American electorate is in volatile mood at the minute.
However if he is elected he will take the flak for the collapse of the economy.Given the structure of US politics he will be unable to turn the ship in time for reelection four years hence.

Reform promised by obama in areas such as amnesty for illegal immigrants will cause major divisions within his own party.
the democrats have a majority in congress purely because conservative democrats were elected two years ago who are diametrically opposed to obama's legislative agenda.

The Republicans will sit on the sidelines watching the dems. tear one another apart and will, likely step into the breach four years later.
The notion obama can change anything substantial is illusory.
