Is Barack Obama the new Ron Paul?

In the sense that they have a following which seems to control the internet and crawl over every forum with their ravings. Honestly, one can't move for them thesedays, I really wish Hillary won Iowa so she could have spared us from this nonsense.

I have the feeling it's all going to end horribly in some sort of compound in a small south American country.

    NO

Ron Paul's internet following came from his views like his strick constitutionalism and his stance on removing income tax as it just pays last years dept incurred by inflation, i.e it goes to the central bank rather than to anything useful and empowers the banks over the government. Ron Paul is for net neutrality. The fact is Ron Paul is against the elite and Barack will be as much a ************************ty puppet as Bush or the Clintons.

The internet hooha surrounding Barack is no where near as prominent and is mostly awful youtube video songs and the like.

Obama is no Ron Paul and his followers bear no resemblance to Ron Paul's. Be they right or wrong Ron Paul's have views about specific policies. They believe they know the answers, Obama's supporters just have faith.

Obama's following is the political equivalent of Big Brother or one of those reality / celeb type programs; the ones where you vote for some unknown. The high priest says a few vague erudite words and they all cheer and repeat the mantras, Change you can believe in, it's only words.

What is it with Americans and all the waving of placards? if someone asked me to wave one around I would soon advise them of where to house it.

Well, I'm glad you have a firm policy on the issue of placards, even if the specifics are left to the imagination.

As for your claims about Obama not offering any policies, only faith... http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/Obama...tForChange.pdf

I'n not claiming it's wonderful, or better than Clinton's manifesto, but it does exist.

So spare us that old talking point about Obama having no policies. It might have had some traction back in the early days of the race but there's not much to it when a single URL disproves it.

Is Obama the new Ron Paul? No, I just got off the phone to camp Clinton, and apparently he's the new Arsenal. He plays a nice style of football and the media love him but he can often be upset by a physical tactics. And that "bitter" comment was just like, eh, Eduardo having his leg broken. Now he's losing his lead and it's all coming apart, blah, blah, blah...
The thing is, while the analogy might just - maybe - bear out, Clinton isn't the Manchester United of the piece. Or even the Chelsea. She's more like the Meath football team, Graham Geraghty with boobs and wrinkles.
