John McCain will be the next president of the US because:
A: Americans are deeply patriotic and it gets them all hot and bothered when a candidate's patriotism is in doubt, as the Pastor Wright "God Damn America" episode has done with Obama, as well as - to a far lesser extent - Michelle Obama's comments on "for the first time in my adult life" being proud of America.
B: The disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan is prompting a voter-backlash against the Democrats in the polls. Howard Dean and Obama seem determined to drag the party down with them in order to avoid new primaries there.
C: The Democrat campaign is so bitter and divisive that a lot of one candidate's supporters will cross to McCain rather than vote for the rival Democrat. There is the possibility of a brokered-convention in Denver in which the superdelegates will push someone over the edge and this will make this more likely like in 1968.
D: The war in Iraq is going better since the Surge and that will benefit McCain, who can also point to his early support for the Surge beforehand as a sign of his "judgement". Meanwhile Obama's judgement is increasingly in doubt because of Pastorgate.
E: Hillary remains a divisive figure with a -7 positivity rating in Rasmussen polls. Obama is 48-49.
F: I still believe Obama is too Far to the Left for Middle America to stomach.
G: The Jewish vote is against Obama because of his past sympathies with the Palestinians. This vote is especially important in New York, Florida and California.
H: The Dem's self-destructive streak.
