Indeed Clinton was not impeached for the affair, but for lying about it under oath, and the impeachment failed. The contrary argument was that the affair "spoke to his character", and his character was unworthy of a President.

So the precedent established by Republicans then, and now by all, is that low sexual behaviour is unworthy of the Presidential office, and the office holder should resign.

So why is Donald Trump still tolerated in office? Surely it is only a matter of time before he must step down?

Twaddle. What adults do in their spare time does not and should not concern the board of a company. If a CEO was fired for sleeping with an intern he could expect a large pay day when it hit the courts.

Women reported exactly the behaviour boasted of by Trump (pussy-grabbing, unwanted kissing) right up to the present.

With that attitude to women, and going by Republican (including Trump's) response to similar behaviour by Democrats, Trump must go.

Incidentally, that is exactly the position Sean Hannity is taking on Roy Moore - if people vote for Moore, then Moore's molesting of teenage girls is ok with him.

Very similar to the attitude taken to Clinton - while the Lewinsky affair was being exposed in the press, Clinton reached 60% Job Approval. So what's your problem?
As an aside, a 60% job approval rating is something Don "Capone" Trump will never reach

The Lewinsky affair was also a political football game, started by the GOP which was desperate to get anything, anything against a Dem POTUS. The main GOP accusers iincluded serial adulterers. Pot kettle black (but the GOP people got away with it).

I, too, felt it was a personal matter between consenting adults - something which Lewinsky keeps reiterating. However, since she was an intern at the time, the matter should be reconsidered now as an abuse of Bill Clinton's position.

    Ah shaddup.

if women didn't cheat on their relationships so easily and with impunity with their buddies we could have more/some respect for them.

Odious is a woman using her sexuality to steal privilege and a march on her male colleagues, indeed on her female college.
