Yep. But it speaks for itself anyway. In Jim Crow Alabama, what were white-on-black crime victims going to report when the Klan were in fact in control of law enforcement and when the all-white setup wouldn't prosecute or convict for it anyway. You'd even get whipped, beaten, castrated, burnt out and/or lynched for reporting it.

In Ireland, who was going to believe and/or defend a molested kid and prosecute their assailants in the controlling clergy, officials and 'respectable' connected families. If they said anything they'd get disbelieved, beaten and sent to a 'special home' or England etc, especially if pregnant. It was much the same elsewhere including the US.

    Excellent and accurate parallel

But I am proud to say Ireland has put far more distance between itself and its shameful past than Alabama has.

Same here. And it's not just Alabama when significant elements of the GOP not only gave a free pass to Trump but also now an outright predator of underage girls, wrapping him in Biblical justification and evasive cover ups. That includes its mouthpiece FOX and other right wing media. It's shameful and history is taking notes.

.“The overseer of this Democrat plantation is John McCain,” Raddish said. “These other Republicans are the political field hands are picking cotton on the Democrat plantation. They do not want a very principled, convicted man to be up there in the U.S. Senate.
This state needs to be picked up and shaken.

Moore had an 8% lead in a poll before the accusers stood up.

One poll after wards had him at -4%, so there are a spread of estimates of his lead, if he indeed still leads.

Nationally, only 16% in a poll said Moore should stay in the race. I guess Beverley Nelson was the last straw.

If he thinks election as Senator is a kind of Shake n' Vac that will make him clean, he can forget about him.

This will follow him like a bad smell as long as he stays in politics, and will tarnish the Republican party too.

Its questionable if polls in Alabama are going to be accurate in this environment.

This poll is not "just released", and the most worrying aspect is that you know this.
It was conducted last Thurs, Fri and Sat, and again you know this.
Your shilling (including using BS claims of "just released") for a whackjob perv who would happily have gays castrated is simply mind boggling

It was conducted 9-11, but only released yesterday.

I would personally not vote for Moore but I will also not cherrypick the news for what is politically convenient. That is why I post links to stories from both sides of the GOP-Dem political divide, in contrast to the "damnatio memoriae" moral hypocrisy of the Left.
