    Sick of the Obamarama?

Just taking a cursory look through some of the other threads I couldn't help but notice the negetivity towards Barack Hussein Obama. I like most others found himself infatuated (in a asexual way) with the junior senator from Illinois but seemingly like many others I found myself quoting Walter Mondale and asking where's the beef?

Am I alone in my malaise?

Nope. If he is the nominee, I think he will be 'eaten alive' by the Republicans when the campaign-proper starts for the November election. He will have to match an experienced veteran like John McCain on the fine details of policy, and free from the sycophantic media adulation he won't have a leg to stand on and the fairy-tale will be exposed. It's easier to poll well when the media are giving you a free ride. And much of this reflects the conservative-media's hostility to Clinton. When she is out of the way, he will be next.

I'm not 'sick' of anything, i think its wonderful to see people energized. Though i consistently believe that at the end of the day, they are electing a national executive to run the federal executive government of the most powerful country on the face of the earth. Washington is Washington. Every change candidate wants to change Washington, but no one has a clue how to do that

Was there any need to include the Hussein? Then again you seem to be a bit of a sock puppet on this matter. I suggest lying down in a dark room and get the person to remove their hand.

    Yep

I have a dislike for waffle and the superficial but understand the political benefits of keeping it aspirational and notivational. Given the importance of the job I would prefer to see a lot more detail and a lot more experience. Though that will be there when the executive is formed I would prefer a President who is likely to be on top of many of the issues and has a good detailed knowledge of many of the subjects. Experience counts in this job.

I agree. I try not to express a personal opinion about Obama because I dont think thats helpful. But when you look at Obama it is hard not to express an opinion based on personal perception of him, because his campaign seems to be centered around the man himself , not any tangible policies.

My main worry about the Obama campaign is this: if he fails to get the democratic nomination, a great many people will walk away and not even bother voting for the eventual Democratic candidate in the presidential race. Both young and black voters may see his failure to gain the nomination as the end of the story. Obamas current and repeated message that his opponent is part of what must change, will copper fasten that attitude.

I'd refer to HRC as Hillary Rodham Clinton if I was refering to her full name(if only because she began using the name Clinton when Willy needed it for politics)
