Especially when you get grandstanding from some of these judges who obviously have political ambitions as well.

It was always likely to end this way. The SCOTUS typically defers to the President (of either party)on immigration and/or national security matters.

The ultimate irony is that this is window dressing anyway. If the Orange Moron was really concerned about protecting the USA why didn't he include any of the states from which the 9/11 attackers originated? Of course not, because he is scared of upsetting his best mates, the stone-age savages running Saudi Arabia, who accounted for 15 of the bastards.
Next up, he will build a wall for all of about 200 yards on the border with Mexico and claim a victory, and the dumbest of the dumb will celebrate it.

Due to his demagogic multiple admissions of actual motives, of course it's window dressing and the pretext has more holes than the Titanic as you noted.

With his first few attempts, it was clear that he simply wanted to block Muslim refugees/asylum claimants altogether from nations that produce plenty of them. They're the wrong colour, religion and cultures for his preferences. He's beefed up the national security pretext by adding Venezuela and NorK--non-white non-Muslim nations--to muddy up his Muslim remarks but it's an expanded pretext as a twofer to keep more of the browner sorts out.

Of course, if you're a German blonde haired blue eyed Evangelical family that wants to home school their kids, then that's a cause célèbre for the GOP and its right wing Religious Right base that qualifies as a true oppression compared to...you know, say drowning on the water whilst fleeing ISIS and such.

Good is not a prefix I've ever heard used before in connection with any Saudi Arabian government. The House of Saud are fukking savages.

Big things, hopefully good things, are reported to have happened recently.

That could have come straight from the mouth of the Orange Moron.
