    Romney to quit!

Enough of these Obama bashing threads.

Drudge is reporting that Romney is to pull out. Expect Huckabee to follow shortly.

Why would Huck quit? A lot of the GOP will rally behind him now.

I'd think if Huckabee can hold out until after the weekend he could tie-up the VP nomination. He's in this now to clip the heels of Romney, not McCain.

He is only staying in to spoil things for Romney, there is no way he could win at this stage. Max he could take I think would be a third of the delegates.

Republicans are wisely moving forward and unifying their party.

The democrats are heading for a dog fight for the nomination.

The Dems really need to settle this.

Enough of all the threads bashing either Obama or Hillary.

Aye, that they do, Howard Dean has suggested as much too, but that's for another thread perhaps..........

This does give McCain a free hand to pick his own VP candidate, unless he has made a promise to Huckabee already...

McCain doesn't have a free hand. It'll have to be Huckabee, people are voting either McCain or Huckabee, and if McCain wants to win the southern states, he'll need the huckster behind him.
