And if they think he deserves to be elected - why do they want to suppress any hint of his Islamic roots? Are they ashamed of Islam?
I thought Islam was meant to be a valid and superior life choice!
Talk about not having faith in your convictions!

Perhaps they feel that promoting such accusations might damage Obama's chances.
Why would THE TRUTH damage his chances?
Are lies and subterfuge the way to be elected?
    Is that what muslims want?
If he is an infidel, why do they care?

This whole thing just gets curiouser and curiouser!
This whole thing gets dumber and dumber.
Why is he in infidel? Who the OTHER infidel? Just what are you talking about?
He has no Islamic roots for us to celebrate, and why would we make some up when it'll damage his chances?
Do you know somethingh we don't about the TRUTH? Please share. Can you tell us he is a Muslim? I doubt it.

It's not completely arbitrary. His biological father was raised a Muslim, and his stepfather was a Muslim. He attended a primary school in Jakarta in Indonesia where most of his fellow pupils and teachers would have been Muslims.

However, there is no reason to doubt his self-identification as a Christian.
