Ron Paul collects $2.6m+ in one day

An organisation called ThisNovemer5th has organised a "MoneyBomb" of 2.6 million dollars (26,000 people individually donating $100) for the Ron Paul for President campaign. This puts Paul definitively in the top tier of the US 2008 race (crazy system!)

This is unusual because ThisNovemeber5th is unaffiliated with Ron Paul - its a grassroots, internet organisation. I think this is a first, and probably a sign of the future effect of internet-only politics.

Ron Paul comes across as a nice, sensible guy who could do great things as president. Pity about the invisible forces that keep people like him out of the white house. If your not evil or slighty left of evil you haven't a hope.

It's an interesting development. But isn't a match for Hillary - Money Magnet - Clinton.

I'd love to see Ron Paul win. I don't think it will happen.

Why do you say that Dave? Don't you like Ron Paul?

I can't blame you if you don't like him. He's been ignored and villified by the mainstream media. Frankly, they're scared that Ron Paul presents a return to a true America. Ron Paul. Ron Paul. It is my right as an American to both take sugar and say the name Ron Paul.

Yes, he's one of those "Libery and justice, free the slaves"-type republicans.
    Pity Uncle Sam 2007 isn't.
