I think it is american foreign policy you have a problem with, rather than ordinary americans themselves, who probably would not know where half these countries are, nor where they around during the time of slavery.

Thats quite a lot to take on board, and a lot of it is indisputable. I often defend the USA when I see pure knee jerk reactions to their Foreign actions or policies (this is usually in the context of US involvement in the Middle East and of course always includes Israel ). I do this to bring some semblence of balance in order to show that it is not always black versus white or up versus down. Even as a kid I hated it when you might say something bad about Russia and right away the retort was "what about the feckin americans"? Can we not judge one side on its own track record without the distraction of needless comparisons?

His mother was white. His father was Kenyan.

Do you think in 2008 in Europe there is any country that would have elected a black head of Government (whose father had been an African student immigrant who briefly resided in the state)?

I don't think so. Actions speak louder than words. The election of Barrack Obama has shown that Americans are capable of looking beyond race and that they are probably not as prejudiced as the majority of European countries.

That has nothing to do with what I am saying at all. In fact, I make it clear that the Founders had no time for poor whites as well. The fact Obama was elected is irrelevant to this thread.

Well, I thought it goes without saying that I was attacking only the U.S government. But if a moderator could change the title to "Why I am anti-American government" that would be great.
"You're in the Oval Office and Raul Castro calls. What would be your response, Congressman Paul?" "Well, I'd probably ask him what he wants."

I agree with what you're saying. But when I get called anti-American it is kinda of annoying because the people who call you it imply that you hate America for no reason really and that you are left wing. I am neither. I already stated my admiration for the Declaration of Independence and the system of government in the states in the OP. I am just against their foreign policy.

I don't. I already talked about why I started this thread.

The way I read your Op, you are spouting for many paragraphs about the treatment by whites of slaves brought to the US from Africa and of native Americans in the course of US history - you even have something about the view of intermarriage in bold. So the way I read it, the fact that they now have a black President is very relevant to your Op.
