Rick Perry to suspend campaign for U.S. Presidency & endorse Newt Gingrich

Perry Dropping Out; Will Endorse Gingrich - Alex Roarty - NationalJournal.com

Rick Perry is to suspend his campaign for the U.S. Presidency and endorse Newt Gingrich.

This may be a game changer in the race. Realistically, Newt Gingrich is the only person that can beat Mitt Romney for the nomination.

South Carolina has a history of being decisive. Remember, In 2000 when George W. Bush defeated John McCain. John McCain had previously just won the New Hampshire primary.

The South Carolina Primary looks like being the decider between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

A new opinion poll has Newt Gingrich leading in South Carolina on the back of a very strong perfromance in the first TV debate.

Awesome. With Romney an overwhelming favourite, Perry backs a disorganised loser. It's in keeping with the rest of his campaign.

So that's two losers gone. How many are left now?

This is how to read Perry's latest move....

Rick Perry to suspend campaign for U.S. Presidency
[ at last - finally perry is doing something sensible and intelligent - though one wonders why it had to take this long below 3% in the votes, for this decision to be made...]

    & endorse Newt Gingrich.
[ oh hold on a minute....forget that comment about Rick Perry getting sensible].

Its very positive for Gingrich. The 5% Perry would of got will likely help him get in reach of Romneys lead.
The fact that Romney actually lost Iowa will not be a good news day for him.

Romney has an even greater lead in Florida but if Gingrich wins SC I could see Santorum drop out and that would go a long way to even things up there.

On the night of a crucial debate? Couldn't it have been done in the morning?

Given US Presidential voters seem to love Washington outsiders & even taking into consideration how poor Obama iis I can't see how he'd win a Presidential race. Bizarre.
