Obama Signs-Off on Official Birth of Fascism in the USA

Remember the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, Civil Liberties, and all of those things that are often associated with the USA? Well, it turns out that these things are now relics, as Mr. Change himself has signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows for unlimited preventive detention without trial. Even the normally pro-Obama hack Rachel Maddow appears to be genuinely astounded that fascism has come to America, and she makes her feelings quite clear in this link, where she accuses Obama's measure as being "creepy" and lays out in clear terms how scary this Bill is:

Just as shocking is the fact that only 13 senators voted agaisnt the measure. Those senators were:

    Nay ID Crapo, Michael [R]
    Nay ID Risch, James [R]
    Nay IL Durbin, Richard [D]
    Nay IA Harkin, Thomas [D]
    Nay KY Paul, Rand [R]
    Nay MD Cardin, Benjamin [D]
    Nay MN Franken, Al [D]
    Nay OK Coburn, Thomas [R]
    Nay OR Merkley, Jeff [D]
    Nay OR Wyden, Ron [D]
    Nay SC DeMint, Jim [R]
    Nay UT Lee, Mike [R]
    Nay VT Sanders, Bernard [I]

Here is Rand Paul's speech, in defence of the constitution and of civil liberties.

I have to say that even I am surprised that this has happened. I was always suspicious that Obama was going to be much the same as Bush, but he has gone one further in terms of his enthusiasm for attacking civil liberties. Shame on him, and shame on all who voted for this fascist measure. Now the USA has become China.

I'm surprised that this tread is only popping up now, although they did do a good job sneaking this through over Christmas, terrifying stuff isn't it,

But could there be a silver lining to this? Won't this increase support for RP?

Fascism was officially born in the US when the Progressive Liberals took the helm over 100 years ago.

It is pretty scary indeed. One would hope that a Supreme court ruling similar to the Boumediene ruling against Bush's attempt to suspend Habeas Corpus will uphold the constitution and stop this in it's tracks.

The Progressives sneaked in the Federal Reserve Act over the Christmas of 1913. Its an old trick they learned before.

I'm sure they haven't taken their hands away from their foreheads since he gave his acceptance speech.

So much for "Land of the Free".
