Absolutely. I've said it before, the only way Obama wins is if the GOP candidate is so far to the right. Any sort of moderate candidate, say McCain 08 would walk this race such is the disillusion and anger with and for Obama. If Romney runs, he'll win. However looks like the GOP might make an ass of it and either nominate Newt or Santorum, or nominate Romney- but leave others, such as Paul (how are they going to buy him off, they've got nothing he wants) in the race so long as to push Romney to the right for as long as the Summer, making it harder for him to become moderate enough.

But as I say, it's the GOP's to lose.

They are all marketed as being different by the use of techniques similar to what you would see onadvertisements.

Well, for starters he made speeches explicitly stating that he was against provisions such as those contained in the NDAA.

Some info on snivelling mendacious toady biotech-stooge Obama:

Monsanto Corporation reigns over Obama Adminstration
But, starting with his choice for USDA Secretary, the pro-biotech former governor of Iowa,Tom Vilsack, President Obama has let Monsanto,Dupont and the other pesticide and genetic engineering companies know they’ll have plenty of friends and supporters within his administration.

President Obama has taken his team of food and farming leaders directly from the biotech companies and their lobbying, research, and philanthropic arms.

Michael Taylor, former Monsanto Vice President, is now the FDA Deputy Commissioner for Foods.

Roger Beachy, former director of the Monsanto-funded Danforth Plant Science Center, is now the director of the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

Islam Siddiqui, Vice President of the Monsanto and Dupont-funded pesticide-promoting lobbying group, CropLife, is now the Agriculture Negotiator for the US Trade Representative.

Rajiv Shah, former agricultural-development director for the pro-biotech Gates Foundation (a frequent Monsanto partner), served as Obama’s USDA Under Secretary for Research Education and Economics and Chief Scientist and is now head of USAID.

Elena Kagan, who, as President Obama’s Solicitor General, took Monsanto’s side against organic farmers in the Roundup Ready alfalfa case, is now on the Supreme Court.

Ramona Romero, corporate counsel to DuPont, has been nominated by President Obama to serve as General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Not content with approving Monsanto's toxic ************************e at every opportunity, Obama's biotech administration will now allow the manufacturer of Agent Orange, DDT, recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone, aspartame, & PCBs to police the environment:

EXCLUSIVE: Under Industry Pressure, USDA Works to Speed Approval of Monsanto's Genetically Engineered Crops | Truthout

But it's not his fault! He's only the Prseident...who on the campaign trail in 2007, promised:

We’ll tell ConAgra that it’s not the Department of Agribusiness. It’s the Department of Agriculture. We’re going to put the people’s interests ahead of the special interests.
Of course you will Obama, of course you will...

The Cornucopia Institute notes the USDA received almost 45,000 public comments opposed to MON 87460, with only 23 comments in favor.

    More on Obama's treachery:

we ask Ratner to comment on President Obama’s recent approval of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which some legal experts say would authorize the military to indefinitely jail anyone it considers a terrorism suspect — without charge or trial. "The Center represented the first people out of Guantánamo over 10 years ago. At that time, the detention of people, the military trials, was all done by a presidential order. When Obama took office, he continued the same actions. And recently, in the NDAA, those actions, the ability to detain people, the ability to use military commissions, etc., were actually put into law, and Obama, contrary to his claim that he was going to veto it, signed it, making him the first president ever in the United States to sign into law indefinite detention as part of the policy of the United States." Ratner adds that "the NDAA puts very heavy restrictions on moving people out of Guantánamo... We are now in the longest period, almost a year, in which nobody has been transferred out of Guantánamo."

Romney will get the nomination from the GOP as a centrist candidate. They are not idiots, they know that a fer right GOP cannot beat Obama.

    But......

    Obama will still win.

We know where you are coming from ... but ..

... Obama's early attempts to have civilian trials for detainees in the the US was howled down by almost all Republicans and many Democrats. He ran into a brick wall. I think he gave up too easily, but blaming it all on the President is just being partisan.

You cannot claim that Obama is denying the will of the American people expressed through their elected representatives.

Similarly, the NDAA was not sought by Obama, but proposed and passed by a Congress with a Republican majority. Obama signed it, after stating he believed it contained no new Presidential powers. He clearly saw it as a political trap by Republicans to smear him as "soft on terrorists" in an election year if he vetoed it. Incumbent Congressmen and Senators up for election mostly chickened out as well. Democrats remember what the Republicans did to the "surrender monkeys" who were "soft on terror" in 2002 and 2004.

If you want to point fingers, there is a far wider range of guilty targets than just President Obama.

Depends on the economy, really. If last weeks figures keep up, it'll be a totally different ball game.

If this legislation is unconstitutional, then the Supreme Court would strike it down if a case is taken.
