People in this country are just short of that extra little push over the edge where calls of "Don't strike or protest as it will damage our reputation internationally" from our media and politicians will fall on deaf ears. When that happens we could well be seeing the Anglo building burn

The thought occurs where direct action is concerned (and I'm not advocating it) is why a bland corporate office should be occupied in the case of Anglo.

The logo and the building didn't punch an economy sized hole in the Irish state. The directors and specifically those who were picking up money for ostensibly sitting on the corporate governance committee of that bank did that. Until such time as people start looking past the logos and directly at the names of those who were signing off on a huge fraud there will never be a stop put to greed and those who hide behind corporate lawyers.

I am not advocating this I would stress but until such time as fraudulent and overpaid corporate officers feel the heat directly in their community there will never be a cure for chancers filling their pockets at every opportunity and having lawyers fill in their excuses on a carefully written questionnaire by the legal profession and then spinning away with a large payoff for their trouble.

Occupying director's houses would be more appropriate- although I stress that would be illegal and therefore I wouldn't advocate it here.

If you want to make a meaningful protest against the EU/IMF, Govt and Banks, you do it in a way that will hurt them most.

An organised mass witholding of Mortgage payments is the best form of protest.

Hit them in the pockets, it is the only thing they understand.

80 people arrested at ‘Occupy Wall Street’ protest

The “Occupy Wall Street” protest is entering its second week. Demonstrators said Saturday they were protesting against bank bailouts and the mortgage crisis...
Nice to see; that it's still going strong.

Very mixed group. 9/11 truthers, Libertarian's, Anarchists, Trotskyites, Socialists. Be crazy to see all of them collaborate after the take down of the existing government. America is on the verge of absolute chaos and the current president is trying to augment it's speed greatly by asking people to get angry and by allowing trade union leaders to organis and shout for war against their adversaries.
"You're in the Oval Office and Raul Castro calls. What would be your response, Congressman Paul?" "Well, I'd probably ask him what he wants."

Well, if anyone is responsible for the destruction of the American Republic, I'd say it is those Wall Street shysters who are most responsible.

Transferring manufacturing jobs out of America to the Third World and China may have boosted short term profit, but it has led to the destruction of their home markets and led to the creation of a situation where nobody wins.
