Well let’s just look at recent events. Numerous countries in the Middle East are experiencing rebellion. Japan has been devastated from a massive earthquake and there are major concerns over the safety of several nuclear reactors. Battles rage here over the budget in the House and Senate.
And what has President Obama been doing... well, videotaping for ESPN his picks for the NCAA basketball tournament, golfing (for the 61st time) over the weekend and attending the elite journalists annual Gridiron Dinner. And he focused his weekend radio address on the serious and pressing situation of “Women’s History Month.” Woo Hoo!
What if this would have been about George W Bush instead of Barack “Nero” Obama? I’ll answer that for most of you... You would be calling for his removal from office.
And it doesn’t stop there.
What if George W. Bush had doubled the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in just one year; and then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years?
What if George W. Bush had criticized a state law (Arizona) that he admitted he never even read, and joined the country of Mexico to sue the state in order to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration?
What if George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to pay their income taxes?
What if George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America?
What if George W. Bush had put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have great safety records of any industry, just because one company had an accident; and had used a forged document as the basis of the moratorium?
What if George W. Bush had reduced American’s retirement plan holdings of General Motors stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in General Motors?
What if George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so?
What if George W.. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans when Katrina hit?
So please, please remind me why Barack Obama is so brilliant and impressive, and why we are all so lucky to have him as President of the United States?
