Brendan Ogle to stand for People Before Profit ?

According to the Phoneix, rumor has it that Brendan Ogle formerly of the ESB group of unions and Irish Locomotive Drivers Association might run for PBP. I would have thought he was a bit of a one man band. He was also quizzed by Vincent Brown on standing for the Dail but wouldn't give any confirmation. Any truth he will stand for PBP and where if so ?

He's had his eye on a Dáil seat for a wee while now. Up the town!

(Although he's a bit mad, and I wouldn't vote for him).

Ah yes! Smell it! That's the contempt for a decent man oozing from the thread already!

Might be an idea to do a few years work in some community first, go for the Council and keep going until he is elected and then consider trying to be a TD, you know......the way real Politicians used to do it before everything in life became instant.

Back in the day someone in school would get a guitar, learn 2 or 3 tunes and then put up a notice in the school or local youth club looking for a drummer and vocalist and after a year or two of tormenting the neighbours via the noise they created emanating from the garage / shed they would be the 3rd support act to some long forgotten act in the Baggot Inn as opposed to the Karaoke kids who turn up for X-Factor with friends wearing T-Shirts with their image and demanding to have a number one song within a few weeks.

I'd vote for him. He's an able individual and would be a thorn in the side of the FF/FG coalition.
