People can wear whatever they want. Equally people can decide how many Muslims they want in their country.

I very much doubt that Boris has much opinion on burkas either way beyond using them as his latest means of grabbing attention for himself.

As such I daresay he's gratified to see the response he's getting.

He's a hack who is much better suited to hacking than to the FCO...

He's back where he belongs... for now at least... and I can't wait to see him lying in front of the bulldozers when the third runway starts...

Anyway, letter boxes in the UK are red.

Personally, I think an outright ban would be problematic. How would the law be phrased? And if someone was wearing a large hoodie or a scarf over their face on a cold day, would that be banned too?

How and ever, people wearing burqas need to understand that in western society, showing one's face is an important part of societal interaction - not just with regard to security and personal identification - and they should be legally required to comply in such circumstances. We've all seen the signs asking motor cycle couriers to remove their helmets on entering some premises.

    Oh indeed.

I just hope the p.ie posters who condone his speech do so in full awareness that he'd have no qualms about expressing similarly negative sentiments about "Paddies" tomorrow if there was anything in it for him.

I know a criminal like you isn’t that bright but I didn’t mention anything about Johnson wanting a ban.
