Not news at all. Sure the Union is only 300 years old.

The whole thing is turning into a bit of a trainwreck, don't you agree?

Could we have "Scoxit", please? That "tx" combination is hard to pronounce and looks unnecessarily Basque in its orthography.

    The LOLz of it all.
Scotland, once independent, can join any international body it chooses.

NATO would be desperate to have them because of their location. EU would be delighted to have them back, if for no other reason than pour encourager les autres..

Not sure about that. There still remains a great chunk of the Scottish electorate that will grit their teeth and vote No. It will take a lot of goading from Tories and other English nationalists to change that. It remains to be seen if they can restrain themselves.

It would be held between autumn 2018 and spring 2019.

Would she not be better off to wait for a year or so until the full effects of Brexit hit and then a deeply disgruntled Scottish nation realizes that it's all turning into a shambles?

Let the race begin, with A50 triggered, we are in for an interesting(to put it very mildly) two years. Interesting to see Nicola preempt this week's expected A50 execution. She must be convinced that the Tories are going ahead no matter what.

Maybe. But by late 2018 the Brexit negotiations might have the UK in a very dark place.
