You're joking, aren't you? He spent the 1980s being vilified by the tabloid press and the Tories for the GLC introducing books to schools that were positive about gay people. He has campaigned for gay rights for 40 years or more. There is absolutely no-one in Britain or Ireland who has done more to advance gay rights than him. It's utter crocodile-tear bullsh1t from the Tories..

Boris's answer to the London riots was 'we'll release the hounds', way outta touch but entertaining nonetheless. Ken is a clever cookie and is well liked by most who enjoy a bit of devilment. IS Capello not running?

You lot thought the Irish Presidential election was bad!

Pity they can't all lose, bunch of freakish tossers.

Sorry. Fence-sitting again - well I don't live in London so doesn't affect me really. No interest.
There could be entertainment in this, blokesbloke, just like the Irish presidential elections were for me. I could not vote though I could stand for President.
I want Irish reunification in my lifetime.

He spoke for and with SF people when no one else would, and brought the annual St Pats day gala to London - another thing which Boris has taken as his own.

Oh indeed, I'm breaking out the popcorn as I did for the Irish Presidential ones, but the trouble is one then has to win and it's not so funny any more, at least if you live in London.

I'd have to vote for a minor candidate, I can't stand any of them from the three main parties. Gladly I don't have a vote.
Vote YES to living within our means and... er... being able to borrow even more money!

Its Ken all the way for me. I've met the guy on a few occasions and had a pint or two with him and I can say he sincerely had/has the best interests of the irish in London at the forefront of his mind. Like the poster above said, he was villified for inviting Sinn Fein representatives to talks when no one else would and as far as Im concerned he deserves nothing but credit for that. You can be sure that the Irish in London will be there for him on election day.

Not quite the oik that you or your hero Boris are perhaps. Boris is so 'cool' he he puts his foot in it at every turnabout this time by gratuitously insulting people. A few years ago he had his arse kicked, by his party leader, all the way up to Liverpool to apologise to the locals there for some idiotic gaffe.

Now he has insulted the entire Irish community in London just in time for the mayoral election.

Ken was too happy to be in the pay of the Iranian regime as he presented programs on PressTV, the same channel that was happy to go into a prison to record and air globally a 'confession' from journalist Maziar Bahari, after him being tortured into giving the confession while being held for 118 days in prison.

Oh just go away Hasbara boy.
I've no time for Ken Livingstone, but your broken record verbage has no place here.

Well I could be called part of the "Irish Community" in London, and he hasn't really insulted me.
