Fred Goodwin stripped of his Knighthood

Sir Fred Goodwin, the former boss of Royal Bank of Scotland, has been informed he will be stripped of his knighthood. He was responsible for a massive banking disaster in Britain. RBS also owned Ulster bank in Ireland, which has also suffered massive losses.

Disgraced former RBS boss Fred Goodwin was told this afternoon that his knighthood is being removed by order of the Queen.
t is a humiliation for the former head of the Royal Bank of Scotland, who has never spoken publicly about his role in the biggest corporate disaster in British history which cost the taxpayer £45bn, and whose lawyers succeeded in getting some direct criticism of him removed from an official report into the collapse of RBS.

Anthony Blunt was the last to lose a knighthood proper.

Mugabwe lost the Order of the Bath, but that was honorary and is not generally considered to be the real thing. Whatever that means.

    From Broadsheet.ie

    How We Differ

    1) They threw their expenses-fiddling politicians in the chokey – for MORE than one night:

    2) They cajoled the head of a bailed-out bank out of his bonus.

    3) They’ve just taken a knighthood off Sir Fred Goodwin, former boss of RBS.
