Kneejerk reaction by idiotic jerks, trying to capitalise of populist outrage, by appealing to the Daily Mail/Express/Telegraph constituency, who are always angry about something anyway. Nothing new there.
Deny them benefits and you are even more likely to find them at 4 am in the act of burglary in your kitchen. It simply won't happen when the all frenzied people calm down and realise that it is not an option.
They might be in for a hell of a surprise if they get into my kitchen! I doubt that that they could stand the heat!
How on earth did the petition get so much exposure to attract sooo many signatures???

In the present highly charged atmosphere people want to see those guilty of rioting really suffer big time. When the dust settles and sense returns this idea will probably be shelved. Rioting and entitlement to benefits are two different things.
Those who rioted and broke the law must be punished for their crimes, the perpetrators must be evicted if the parents are complicit in the crimes then they too must be evicted. Why not set up punishment camps for these scumbags, use them in chain gangs to clean up the mess the caused.
