Beat me to it.
Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.

Can MODS change title, this was the supreme court, so this is very very very bad news for ahern and his ilk.

Her case seemed to be built on a nonsense argument - ie. that the Tribunal ought to make findings based on facts which were "beyond reasonable doubt" rather than on the "balance of probabilities".

This would apply a burden of proof on the Tribunal equivalent to a criminal trial - and as we know, Tribunals are precluded from making findings of criminality. It is for the DPP and the courts to proceed on this front.

The whole point of the case seems to be very flimsy. Can't wait to read the judgment

I was due to be ready last month, but legal actions like this are taking place. Expect it before the end of the year.

Good to see sense prevail in the courts.

One doesn't like to speak ill for the dead but I'd make an exception for Lawlor.

Corrupt politicians like him, who instead of governing, lined their own pockets at the expense of the nation, have caused so much damage to Ireland it hard to quantify the sheer scale at this stage.
