According to John O’Keeffe (Bertie Ahern’s apologist and propagandist) writing in the Sunday Independent of 19.10.08, Manchester-Irish fat little bald man, John T Kennedy CBE, also gave cash payments to Bertie Ahern at another Manchester dinner - this time in 1990 – a full 4 years before the fictitious £8,000 dinner in the Four Seasons Hotel. Kennedy’s largesse (not talking about his paunch) is not bad for someone who told the Mahon Tribunal that he never knew Bertie Ahern.

AT a surreal gathering in the House of Lords on Friday evening, Bertie Ahern and his most famous of Manchester "dig-out" pals John Kennedy, once more shared a dinner table -- 18 years after Kennedy had given the former Taoiseach €1,000 in cash on hearing of his marital difficulties.

(I didnt know that the UK's currency was € John - especially not 18 years ago!)

O’Keeffe also seems to be suggesting that John Kennedy is more famous than Tim Kilroe, and therefore the most [more] famous amongst two. – After all, the “famous Manchester Digout pals” number just two; namely Tim Kilroe & John Kennedy – one a dead man who tells no tales, the other an a*se-licking perjurer who is about to be found out.

If you have information that you consider relevant don't post it here, send it to the solicitor for the Planning Tribunal at the Lower Castle Yard, Dublin Castle. We can't investigate these things, they can.

    Thanks Toxic

But unfortunately your Mahon Tribunal has no remit to investigate the corrupt payments made to Bertie Ahern by Tim Kilroe in Manchester. Or perhaps I should say, fortunately: – the lawyers bills for such an inquiry would require the funds of all the banks in north-west Iceland.

What you need to ask yourselves is why did Ahern specifically pick Manchester and why did he specifically pick a figure of £8,000 when giving a red herring story to the Mahon Tribubal to explain payments cited re O’Callaghan/Dunlop.

I tell you this: not only did Ahern receive payments from O Callaghan/Dunlop/AIB, as stated by Tom Gilmartin, re Planning issues in Dublin, but Ahern also received additional cash payments from Manchester NOT related to Planning issues in Dublin, as Tim Kilroe bled the cash from and scuppered his Manchester construction businesses in the early to mid '90s with fire sales involving Aer Arann, CRH plc and John Kennedy Construction.

Are there no investigative journalist in Ireland at all? Seems like even they can be bought.

Being paraded around John T Kennedy CBE’s boring “philanthropy” dinner circuit is the inconvenient price Ahern is now paying for John T Kennedy CBE’s public lies of support on RTE television, in the Sunday Independent and at Dublin Castle. And at each tedious dinner "function", Micky “the Bus” Wall is sitting out in the car park with a bag of Tayto and a bottle of Fanta. The game will soon be up, and you should have a ticker tape reception in Ireland for Tom Gilmartin.

They can certainly investigate, because it, if true, would allow them to rule out payments to him as having come from O'Callaghan. If you actually have some information in this regard you should indeed send it to them immediately. If there is merit in them, they will bring Ahern back to deal.

K4S, have to concur with TA, go talk to one of the solicitors acting for Mahon or the journalist I gave you not so long ago.
The whole Manchester saga is totally dodgy and a lot of it outside the remit of Mahon particularly the break-up of the Kilroe Group, not surprised to see you mention CRH, a regular FF bedfellow and a company that behaves with the arrogance of a total insider but there are several of these.
As ever the monies do seem to be small but this is probably only what is in the public domain, Bertie and his mates had quite voracious appetites when it came to the folding stuff.
Totally agree with your comment on TG, without him they would have got away with it 100% and TG has changed Ireland, we will soon see how much.

The Bertie Ahern/ Olivia Buckley and Fianna Fail propaganda machine seems to have done a good job, what with its insiders within RTE, in the press and within the Dept of Taoiseach Civil Service. So much so, that the Bertie Ahern/ John Kennedy bare-faced jackanory about a dinner in the Four Seasons Hotel in Manchester has been accepted as fact by the Irish public. But Toxic, I never thought that they would have fooled you. I do not understand your logic in concluding that the truth about the Kilroe cash payments to Ahern would rule out other payments to Ahern as having come from Owen O’Callaghan. Do you really believe that Ahern had only one paymaster (if it’s not one, it must be the other)?

Whilst Owen O’Callaghan/ Dunlop/ AIB were looking after Ahern in regard to their interests in Dublin Planning issues, Kilroe was looking after Ahern in regard to Kilroe’s interests in other business deals in the Republic of Ireland – nothing to do with Dublin Planning issues (which is the narrow remit of Mahon). Do you actually believe that Ahern has only one safe? Do you actually believe Ahern has declared the full extent of all his interests in all bank accounts?

As soon as Tom Gilmartin spilled the beans about O’Callaghan, Ahern calculated that at some stage the other stuff involving Kilroe would be found out as well.

The Four Seasons parable was hatched at Tim Kilroe’s funeral in Manchester in 2004. Now that Tim Kilroe was conveniently dead, it was safe to plan a contrived leak of the Kilroe payments and kill two birds with one stone, i.e., 1) the O’Callaghan payments and 2) the Kilroe payments. Step up Holy Papal Knight, Commander of the British Empire, Greater Manchester Deputy Lieutenant, AIB Businessman of the Year, general fat multi-chinned little baldy man, John T Kennedy CBE KSG DL – someone prepared to lie to the Irish public on RTE television on behalf of Bertie Ahern, and someone prepared to lie upon oath for his own sake and for the sake of Bertie Ahern at Dublin Castle. Now get him together with Head Coach Olivia Buckley.

You see, Ahern got a lot more cash than just £8,000 from Kilroe. The source was what was known in Kilroe Group in the 1990s as “dead man’s money” (payroll fraud). I worked in the Kilroe Group at the time. I know all about the Four Seasons Hotel. I also know that the Holy Papal Knight John T Kennedy CBE DL of John Kennedy Civil Engineering Ltd is also a confessed fan of the lump system and cash in brown envelopes. Unlike the conveniently dead Kilroe, who has “gone to God”, Kennedy is conveniently still alive.

Bertie Ahern was also happy to take the illicit cash bungs in Manchester from Tim Kilroe when he knew that Tim Kilroe was a rogue employer who had deliberately not paid out Unfair Dismissal awards to his workers, most of whom were Irish immigrants.

One in ten tribunal awards ‘ignored by rogue employers’ - Times Online

Just in case you thought corruption was a victimless crime, you should note that Bertie Ahern TD, the Irish Finance Minister no less, stole the money which should have been paid to the Kilroe workers in Manchester who unfairly lost their jobs in 1993 and 1994, and who as a consequence got nothing. Bertie Ahern TD is a low-life thief.

And the 2007-08 Award for Perjury goes to………

Where are the cease and desist letters from Ahern's people who were so quick to make a big deal of some fairly mild things said on P.ie a few months back?

Or is it perhaps that any such letters might draw more attention to the content of this thread that would they would like?

    Yeh_but

thou canst not penetrate Bertie's teflon aegis,
he's soaked up so much flak that mere accusations of wrongdoing trickle like quicksilver drops off a ducks back,
like some kind of elemental entity,

    Roll on the Report.

@Kilroe where do u stand on corporal punishment?
    without condoning or condemning

Why are you so reluctant to give your evidence to the tribunal? Have you even tried contacting a journalist here? Most of them would be thrilled to hear your story if they could stand it up. Put up or shut up.
