    Mr. Ahern: "I won it on a horse"

    Today Bertie Ahern TD told Des O'Neill, senior counsel for the Tribunal of Inquiry into Planning and Payments that he won sterling on the horses.
    The public gallery - which was filled to near capacity, while the press gallery was 20% populated - swelled with amusement at the remarkable aside, prompting Ahern himself to smile to himself.
