I suppose that would be your attitude if you nasty piece of work like Ahern, backed into a corner, feeling guilty. He is the type to lash out, as we saw on election night when he threatened press freedom. What was that about again? - oh yeah, all the stuff he was going to clarify about his finances after the election.
Odious little man.
A) You don’t have to be guilty to be backed into a corner.
B) “when he threatened press freedom”, would you give it up ffs.
A - I said he may be feeling guilty. There appears to be no straightforward way of demonstrating his innocence. Maybe he's simply regretful of having unnecessarily complicated (but completely above-board) financial arrangements.
B - I failed to find any detailed reports of what he said, but as I recall, he went on about journalists' expenses (rich, coming from a TD); gave out about the IT's behaviour; then growled something along the lines of 'having to do something about that' legislatively.
If you've a better record of what happened, let's have it, but I'd call that threatening press freedom - what would you call it?
