Browning hi powers were standard issue side arms for British special forces . Until the late 1980s and the adoption of the SIG Sauer they were synonymous with the SAS , many of whom still carry them . The undercover team that tried to assassinate Brendan Hughes in the early 70s were using Brownings . Same in Gibaltar . Your man is talking rubbish , as usual .

thats all Niarac had on him when he was nabbed. And there werent any fancy james bond stuff or other weapons in his car either . Republicans ambushed an undercover car successfully on the falls road , and in derry on another occasion . Both were thoroughly searched for weapons ,radios and documents . In neither case were there additional weapons found , only concealed browning hi powers on the bodies. And small hand held flare guns that launched multiple flares , presumably to pin point a distress location .

Anyways even the dumbest eejit would think to simply google the words Browning hi power and SAS before repeatedly mouthing off at length about a subject . But you appear to be in a league of your own . Then again your a loyalist so thats to be expected

Retired CS Owen Giblin has told the Smithwick Tribunal that, at the time that the coffins of the three Provos eliminated by the SAS in Gibraltar were being taken through Dundalk, the then Commissioner, Éamon Doherty, issued an instruction that gardaí should salute the coffins.

I am shocked that senior gardaí would order their subordinates to salute terrorists.
They didn't just salute the terrorists who murdered Seamus Ludlow in Dundalk, they openly collaborated with them. And told lies to the grieving family for 20 years to cover their asses.
