Bad as in embarrassing, or bad as in potential criminal charges being made against the two boyos?

Is there really any chance of the latter, this being Oireland and all?

Sarah Carey comes out of as a bit of a Fine Gael toady. Advising O'Brien to donate to FG as he had a negative perception within the party.

matters addressed in earlier chapters, and records and references in overall
terms the matters that have led the Tribunal to find, pursuant to paragraph (g) of
its Terms of Reference, that Mr. Michael Lowry, in the course of his Ministerial
office, as Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, by his acts and
decisions, conferred a benefit on Mr. Denis O’Brien, a person who made
payments to Mr. Lowry, within the meaning of paragraph (e) of its Terms of
Reference, and who was also the source of money in accounts held in the name
of and for the benefit of Mr. Lowry within the meaning of paragraph (f) of its
    Terms of Reference.

Thats all legalese for saying that DOB made corrupt payments to Lowry!

It's not really. It says O'Brien made payments to Lowry and that Lowry conferred benefits to O'Brien but not, obviously, that the payment was in return for the benefit.

    @ GIJOE.

    thats the guts of it.

the only word the judge DIDNT uses was "corrupt", though he used every permutation he could think of.

lowry got a lashing on pat kenny just now.

the general intimation was he got the liscence for ponying up cash to FG .

Michael Lowry TD surely has to resign NOW.

Fair play to the people of Tipp North who made him the first candidate to top the poll 3 elections in a row. Take a bow.
From great tragedy emerges great art.
