Gardai should be doing the work of the Tribunals

Have one corrupt outfit investigate another?
I think not!
The tribunals are expensive and need reform but they are a means of slowly dragging this benighted country kicking and screaming into a more moral and fair society.

The Gardai investigations in 1989 and 1993 were useless, one of the people making allegations allegedly rang by a Guard and told to 'f*ck off' and not be sullying the good name of politicians. The Guards were reporting back, in 1989, to the Justice Minister, one Ray Burke.

I couldn't say, however, thanks to the brave and unselfish diligence of Bertie, we can rule out there being anything up the trees.

There's not a decent tree remaining in North Dublin from all the times people have been up and down them.
