    Have one corrupt outfit investigate another?
    I think not!
    The tribunals are expensive and need reform but they are a means of slowly dragging this benighted country kicking and screaming into a more moral and fair society.

    The Gardai investigations in 1989 and 1993 were useless, one of the people making allegations allegedly rang by a Guard and told to 'f*ck off' and not be sullying the good name of politicians. The Guards were reporting back, in 1989, to the Justice Minister, one Ray Burke.

    The last thing we need are the general Gardai (read their politically appointed "superiors" to conduct any investigation!
