The British think it serious enough to send a RN Destroyer into Irish waters, and we an Island nation ignore it and can only muster a 28 year old fisheries boat to attend.

Is it that it happened in Cork?
Is it that we are not aware that we are living on an island?

In addition to the Russian aircraft carrier and tanker, a British destroyer, a second tanker and the Irish naval vessel L.E. Aisling were on the scene, south of Fastnet, the Coast Guard said.

AAaaaaaaa uuuuuhhhhhh I cant take it any more... my paranoid android evil twin tell's me the Ruskys were fooling about in their rust bucket while the Brit submarine was involved in a game off chicken with them... unbeknownst to them both the Frogs were taling them both when the Brits freaked out after the Ruskies [ still with me !!!!] drunk as always went straight at the Brits who went in to a sharp dive to ovoid collision only to hit the Frogs, and yes the Ruskies cracked a few old rocks in the process.

Finally a coherent unified field explanation. If it happened off Howth they'd be all over it.

Da brudder Noel Aherne on drivetime with Mary today!

We are apparently sending out a tug tonight to "TEST" the oil(?)

But the "good" news is we have some sh*t hot EU boat on standby to deal with the situation.

BAD news is this kind of spill is extraordinarily hard to deal with.

GOOD news is there is a interdepartmental special commitee now in place monitoring the situation.
    So thats good ....................................!!

Because we don't have a proper Navy. And worse people want us to cut defence spending instead of increasing it.
