Are these not in line with inflation?
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know.

Actually less than the rate of fuel price increases, but when have the facts got in the way of a hysterical rant on this site?
The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

depends on what you take as the accepted inflation figure, one thing is certain though, there will be no improvments in service/productivity.

Fuel prices have rocketed. The argument that this doesn't mean an improvement in services is typical moaning short-sightedness.

If the prices stayed the same, despite increasing pay and fuel costs, then the service on offer would diminish, obviously. Do you guys favour that?

Public transport is still the cheapest way to commute by far to Dublin, and offers decent links elsewhere. Nobody is denying improvements are needed, but Irish Rail losing more money won't make it any better.

Never seems to bother you when you're going off on one about approval ratings.

Ireland has one of the lowest levels of public transport subsidies in Europe. We should be paying much less for a much better public transport system.

Would it not make sense to reduce the cost of public transport?
