Given how spectacularly bad passenger bookings on the Belfast/Heathrow route are for the first four months of operation as things stand, expect blood on the carpet in the Aer Lingus boardroom as senior management try to distance themselves from Manion's decision to ditch Shannon/Heathrow in favour of Belfast/Heathrow. Even at the give away price of £1 plus taxes on virtually every flight they still can't fill the seats, no matter what savings in staff costs they may have achieved in Belfast flying planes with few passengers travelling for virtually no fare can't be good for profits
Interesting times ahead as it looks like this is going to be one of the most monumentally ill thought out decisions in the airlines chequered history.
    Average expenses per TD in 2011:- FG €36,412, Lab €28,756, FF €45,219, SF €44,413, SP €23,654, PBP €31,866, WUAG €49,911, IND €37,805, CC €13,112.
