    €1 Standard Dublin Bus Fare

This was one of the Labour proposals in the lead up to the election. Any chance of any of the other parties taking it up? If only to reduce dwell times at stops.

we also need to get rid of bus drivers and have an overhaul of the whole sysytem
complete ticketing system (no money) displays at bus stops tell you exactly when the next bus is comming and where it is going and to get rid of two decker buses and replace them with long buses

More baloney... Dublin Bus always gets the brunt of price squabbling they do a great job for the rubbish they have to put up with.

How about 1euro GP's fee this would be more revolutionary or free education for third level students

They haven't the balls that's why.

while the one euro fare is a noble idea, i would prefer other revolutionary concepts in dublin bus transport that are standard in europe, such as
    1) intregrated tickets,
    2) bus times based on the time they arrive at a stop, not when they start a route. this impairs the ability to question the lateness of bus drivers
    3) GPS and scoreboards at bus stops stating time of arrival (ok this is not universal)
    4) Once a ticket is purchased, a passenger can use that ticket to board any other bus within one hour
    5) Fare reductions if bus is late, i.e in Sweden if bus is 20 mins late its free to travel,

However it must be noted that Ireland gives one of the lowest rates of subsidisation to it's bus fleets in Europe.
