Idiot.
Impressive, insightful reply easygoing. Did misty touch a nerve? Are you still driving on a provisional license? And how long do you consider too long to continue to drive on one? How long should a provisional license holder beallowed before having to apply for a test? Forget about waiting lists for a moment and focus on the responsibility of the learner driver - how long before a learner should have to apply for a test? 1 month? 1 year? 5 years? 10 years?
My own history:
Had my first provisional in 2000. It expired in 2002.
Renewed it in July 2006, and applied for the test. I did not actually have a car or drive until...
I bought one in July 2007 (SO YOU SEE, I APPLIED FOR MY TEST A WHOLE YEAR BEFORE I EVEN GOT A CAR, SUCH IS THE STATE OF WAITING TIMES).
I was called for my test in August 2007 (PLEASE NOTE, IDIOTS, THE THIRTEEN-MONTH WAIT).
I failed it and reapplied the same day - this time with a letter from work.
My next test is now on November 1.
So, that's why I think Misty's and idiot. He has obviously got no comprehension of waiting times for tests, and of the sheer impracticalities which flow from those waiting lists.
I, and thousands of other provisional drivers, are in a great hurry to pass our tests. Why? Because of insurance of course. Why would I want to pay 1000 per year for insurance, when with a full license I only have to pay 600?
Again, misty's obviously an idiot. And so are you.
