...next week in protest at worse conditions proposed for pilots working out of Belfast. Fair play to them !

Whilst I'm not in favour of the pilots going on strike, I do agree with the principle that two people doing the same job, in the same company, should receive the same pay and conditions of employment.
    Average expenses per TD in 2011:- FG €36,412, Lab €28,756, FF €45,219, SF €44,413, SP €23,654, PBP €31,866, WUAG €49,911, IND €37,805, CC €13,112.

Really so do you work for a US company and are you going to go in and demand they pay you the same as in the US or other operations around the world ?

    Though not.

Employees of Belfast bit of AL do NOT work for AL Ireland and are on different tax etc as a result of being employed in a different country.

AL UK Ltd is their likely employer.

So you're in favour of Irish companies sacking their Irish employees in order to move to lower cost economies.

If so, it's time for many to pack their bags, the days of mass exodus of job-seekers will be returning before we know it.

How many Irish Pilots are AL sacking ?

Wow they aren't they are recruiting 25-30 new Pilots for a new subsidary based in the UK and having different Terms and Conditions.

So if Glanbia open a new subsidary should they have to pay the new employees the same as the old ones if the factory is in NI ?

Did you never hear of a company called Irish Ferries?
