16 illegal taxis in 2 hours

Minister Kelly reports on the news at one on RTE radio 1 that 16 illegal taxis were found in the space of two hours in the vicinity of Westmoreland st., that is what I heard in the background but I was not listening properly. I took more taxis from that vicinity over Christmas than I have ever used in the last 5 years!!

I think that figure was cited in the Sunday Times just past.

I stopped at a red light on College green one night over Xmas, it was quiet enough in town that night, out of the 20 cars stopped at the lights, I was the only non taxi,

And not one of the taxis had a passenger in it,

Why are market forces not reducing the numbers, they are like a plague of locusts in Dublin, choking up the streets and kerb crawling for fares!

And the newest one is being stalked by taxis, how things have changed!

It makes a hell of a difference, or are you too stupid to deduce the obvious implications.

Try to get a taxi on a Monday or Tuesday or Wed and you will be waiting a long time, seems Taxi men dont like working during the week.

Some posters really work hard at being both unpleasant and thick, but with you it just seems to come naturally.
