Maybe we could appoint Conor Faughner as spokesman?

Then we are told that most countries have a property tax so we should have one, they don't pay our road tax rates though do they. The same with buying a car, so much tax is loaded onto the price of a new car instead of taxing income. This means that you are borrowing more from the banks to pay for the car than you should have to. Now you have to pay interest on the loan to pay the tax, the Govt gets their share the banks get their interest and you get screwed twice.

The way things have gone Harmonica, it's time we did something about it. It's getting to be really expensive to drive a car in Ireland these days.

Soon the choice will be: Drive to work or screw it and sign on the dole. No proper public transport outside the greater Dublin area and therefore a lot of us simply have to have a car for our jobs.

Nothing surer, in fact, they've started already by raising the tax on smaller vehicles.
