    The irony is Varadkar appears to have been hawking the stake in Aer Lingus to state owned airlines from the Middle East, airlines controlled by ruling families.

    You certainly aren't.

    The state should be involved in as little industry as possible and concentrate on what it's supposed to do - i.e. govern prudently and honestly, regulate where necessary and create an environment in which industry can be developed by others and thrive.
