    Thats great news.

    Its a fantastic scheme.

Any idea where they will go?

There are some really obvious places they could put them, notably East Point Business Park.

Also, am I right in saying that this prject has been financed by a media company.....(same media company might only be interested in Dublin).

the scheme alread has 4 new stations open that act as overflow stations. The scheme will now be extended into the Heuston and Docklands areas and then further out wards. The scheme was completely funded JCDecaux up until now. Some business have indicated that they are willing to pay to have a bikes station located near their business, also user contributions will probably increase as well as a lump sum capital injection by the National Transport Authority.

florin, I'd add to your post and say i hate the way that the Dublin car scheme is responsible for the demolition of so much of Dublin's old architecture, how it makes the city so difficult for pedestrians, how it pollutes the air, how it delays public transport and how it.... etc etc
We need to radically change every system that has enabled the wholesale destruction of the Irish landscape, rural and urban. There is no time for incremental step by step measures. The systems have failed utterly and the only hope for a real recovery requires the rule book to be torn up completely.
