Mr Mansergh, a true gentleman, served his country well, A loss to any Dail, a great intellectual of our time.
While I would enjoy to see FF losing both seats in Tipperary, it would be a pity if somebody of the calibre of Mansergh was lost to politics and that Mattie the bamboozler Mc Grath should be elected. Marsergh's contribution would be an addition. Mattie's could be done without.
Lets hope McGrath gets what he deserves...a good kicking from the voters, whats good for the goose and all that...
Poor old Martin, done a lot of good no doubt, but he is a FFer after all, checks and balances, beater off without each and every FF
On a completely separate note for the voters of South Tipp, who knows but by some mysterious circumstances the more natural arrangement of which Garda division covers certain area's of South Tipp may return in the near future
He's not going to be a Taoiseach's nominee and the senators put in place by FF councillors are likely to be much younger than Martin. We could be heading for a record number of under 40s in the Seanad.
