Have heard him on ocean a few times in realation to sligo general good with the media i expect him to pull a good vote amongest the Hse workers and should do well in Leitrim the problem with this area is that ff vote is always going to be strong regardless of the national anger on the current crop of TDs and Senators i agree they are absolutly useless id love to see a prime debate live from sligo/north leitrim just to show how bad these boys are.On the Manorhamilton TD hope he does more than Marian Harkin did for North Leitrim id place her in the same catorgory as Perry,DEVINS AND THE BIG DINNER,.Interesting to see how Mc loughlin will get on he has North leitrim connections any word on Bree the worker standing

I'm sure he's been described by a slightly amended description of that word before. No word but I can't imagine he wouldn't go, there's a lot of town votes up for grabs, couldn't see him getting in though, but yet couldn't see him leaving SF and Lab to fight it out for the left vote (if one could even describe O'Keeffe as left). Wonder what rabbit he will pull from the hat this time, in 07 he walked out on Labour midway through the campaign, and in the locals he made a fool of the Co Manager over the bullying case (which for all Bree's faults, I felt was a bit harsh on him).

I would not dismiss it out of hand !!

The dogs on the street know Dr Devins will not get re elected He does not seem the type to be able to take the cr@P that he will need to take if he goes out canvassing

He also has the luxury of been able to go back to a 100k plus job as a GP if he does not run.

BTW ..anyone know if both ES and Dr D are going to reapply to FF so they can run as FF flag carrying members ...they are runing out of time and would want to get their collective Asses in gear !!

Dont know what the rules of the southern maffia are but i think to get funding they have tobe under the whip and i dont see any of these boys dipping into their own pockets for funding.I dont know what spin there going to use to reapply these boys have lost total creditability with the electorate and with local media as they cannot be found.on the FF flag dont be suprised to see no logo on the posters or canvass cards and you will of course need a microscope to find the republican party slogan.Maybe it can be replaced with the european unionist party.Devins to be back as GP but he will leave it as late as he can to damage MAC SHARRY no secret that these 2 boys have done everything to knife each other over the past few years interesting times ahead.Clarke the con man to put pressure on the BIG DINNER.After todays poll i predict a left seat for this constituency.

Marian Harkin is one of the most hard-working, straight politicians that we have. And it's laughable that you made the ''north leitrim comment''. Judging an MEP's work on what she does for a small part of her constituency
She was involved in setting up the Carers Interest group and also spoke in 2006 in the European Parliament about the lack of breast screening services, Don't you think these are important issues?
