Of course it does - the Socialist Party is 100% opposed to any cuts that will affect working class people - did you expect anything else? A lot of work on at the moment so unfortunately the website has not yet been updated - I am sure it will be taken care of to your satisfaction shortly.
Why did people get the notion that this had something to do with the Socialist Party - I merely posted a thread from information on indymedia because I thought people would be interested.
It’s a pity to see a SF councillor resign.
I would note that she was a co-optee only 2 years ago. Also I have never heard her speak out against any so called, supposed policy change up until now. Time will tell if she can do more for Irish Unity and Social justice outside than within. I firmly believe that she won’t. If she does fair play to her.
SF is the only all Ireland political party actively perusing Irish unity. SF is the third largest party on the island of Ireland. SF is a solidly left wing party without being on the looney left. While they are so they will have my solid loyalty. Viva la republique!!
Christ, Factual has a twin.
So being part of the British Government in Ireland and swanning off on holidays to America and Britain to have a chat with people, who will never have to vote on the United Ireland issue, suddenly constitutes "actively pursuing" Irish unity.
Is this your new anthem?

Sinn Féin is also engaged in unionist outreach in the six counties, as set out in the "Unionist Engagement Chater" which may be accessed from the following link

Sinn Fein is the only party that has done heavy lifting in the six counties in terms of unionist engagement.

The only thing I find irritating about the slew of resignations is that with the exception of the Eirigi departures none of the senior activists and Cllrs who have left over the past few years made any attempts to influence policy or direction.
Fine people can leave if they are disillusioned but I believe there is an onus on firstly trying to change/influence the party before departing.
it's good that S.F are 'perusing' Irish unity. They are certainly not pursuing it but at least according to you they are 'perusing it'. Are we supposed to be impressed? They fully backed an agreement which legitimised partition.
Keep at the wee 'viva la republique' stuff because as long as you support s.f that's as close to republicanism as you'll get. If you think s.f are 'solidly on the left' then you have no idea about the Thatcherite policies they are adopting in the 6 cos but, oh, I forgot, they have to do that, their bosses in Westminster demand it.
'Unionist engagement CHATER',, what the devil is 'chater', perhaps it should be 'Chatter' as talk seems to be the height of it. Not much sign of it in Ardoyne, was there? This is quite simply another illusion wherby a few shinners in paid positions speak to a few unionists in paid positions and submit repoprts on how wonderfull they are while meanwhile the same old crap continues on in real life. Come up to the wee six now and again and see the reality, not being taken around to selected places by some some shinner but in the places they would prefer you didn't go to ask questions.
