But this is more of the same. Can you just publically state what it is you tried to do and what was done to prevent that. One of the main reasons that SF is in the state its in is this culture of secrecy, which you still seem to carrying through. In the eight years I have been in SF there has been only one overt attempt in Dublin to take on the leadership which culminated in the row over Joanne Spain's selection for Dublin Mid West - ulitmately leading to senior Sinn Fein members leaving and then forming eirigi.

Anybody else who has left in that period crying off that they "raised their concerns, fought against the direction etc etc" is mistaken and confusing whinging at a Spirit of Freedom fundraiser to Mary Lou with articulated dissent and campaiging for internal change.

What a great victory for Sinn Féin! No Sinn Féin organization in North Mayo, the traditionalists had enough of been patronized by their betters in Castlebar, Dublin no.44...

I certainly have no hard feelings against her for leaving. Thats her choice.

I am not convinced by her criticism of the party's political direction or her rejection of the party's policys though and here is why:

I understand that she has joined Eirigi and she is a socialist republican.

Whatever about SFs policies Eirigi have yet to put out a statement on An Bord Snip Nua's report. 17,000 jobs to go, the west pumelled and the agri-sector about to die but they do not have a response.

This is probably the most important financial document in decades but there is no response.

I find it hard to believe that someone wouuld clainm to leave over policy differences and then join a group that has yet to comment on the McCarthy report. Incidentally the Socialist Party also has not commented. The socialist workers party have and even the 32CSM have.

So is this about political philosophy - maybe!

"no longer able, to challenge the ...rotten capitalist system which is causing so much hardship to working families across Ireland today."

But if Louise wants to represent her constituents and argue for their desperatley needed services then there needs to be a position on the report and fast.

Its easy to theorise positions and claim to be socialist republicans but where is the meat on the McCarthy report. Thats hardly fighting for workers.

I have no beef with Eirigi (who I respect actually) or Louise(who i dont knw from adam) but they need to up the game with a response to McCarthy.

More mud slinging Pat and an example of why many faithful voters and members are starting to turn their backs on a party they have supported for years.
It may be time for SF to start asking questions of party policy rather than throw muck at people that have decided it's not the party they have previously supported.

So her excuse is that SF have moved away from a positon over a dozen years, but apparently the penny only dropped with her within the last month, as stated, only after using party finance and personnel to get elected.

I googled her name simply to see if there were statements and position papers that she had released through the media as part of her campaign to reflect her concerns. There was nothing from what can only be described as a fairly anonymous person.
More mud slinging as per usual Pat when someone disagrees with your party line.
    Spide ? Cowardly ?
Congtratulations for proving my point for me.
And congratulations for dodging the issues I put to you. As per usual for you in all discussions on this forum

You didn't put any issues and the fact you operate in cowardly anonymity is self evident.

You have to agreee there Pat - you do avoid the question - have you bothered answering what the SF policy is on reporting the rioters and indeed if you would report any person you know to the police for rioting? Try not to insult.
