Why Sinn Féin supporters should transfer to green, labour and imo sp

Here's a link to an article on this from Eoin O'Broin.

SINN FÉIN - KEEP LEFT: why Sinn Féin supporters should vote labour, Green and Socialist Party

For those not wishing to follow the link the basic push is that we need a left alternative to be built and the Grenn party must still be seen as part of that. In order to achieve this SF supporters should transfer to labour and green. (Being in Dublin i would add Sp to this as well)

The Greens are not left, they are more FF than FF at this stage.

Sinn Féin is a vibrant, all-Ireland republican socialist and environmentalist party. It's truly a people's party. Why would those who support reunification and the creation of a progressive, pluralistic Ireland want to vote for conservative and corrupt west brit parties like Labour and soon to be extinct 'green party'?? We ought not forget about Labour's collaboration with the british occupier in bygone days, not least when in coalition with blueshirts. In fact Labour has produced some of the most venemous, anti-Irish quislings since partition, mar shampla Orange Cruise O'Brien and erstwhile republican internee the arch toff De Rossa. I got no problems with the socialist party except they're not going anywhere, whereas it's not unreasonable to assume that Sinn Féin will register is greatest ever vote throughout southern and occupied Ireland in forthcoming elections.

If Joe Higgins happens to take a seat in Dublin and MLM doesn't it would be a major blow to SF.

There is no evidence to support that outcome except for one single poll which found that Higgins is closer to Mary Lou than all other polls indicate. This is an anomaly. In any case socialist voters ought to support Sinn Féin as the latter are the only socialist party capable of providing a formidable opposition to the pro-partition conservatives in Labour, and FF/FG.

They are doing a bang up job of that in NI, eh? Sorry occupied Ireland. Must continue to sound radical while implementing right-wing cuts in the north and begging any right party that will have us for a coalition in the south.

I agree that SF people should send their transfers to Labour, Green and even Socialist because it would create a proper opposition to ridiculous Civil War politics, which lacks proper ideology.

Labour has had some people like that Cruise O'Brien, who was a disgrace to the party by turning unionist. Therefore some hardcore shinners may have a problem with Labour.

How does SF feel about the Socialist Party's policy for Ireland to be part of a federation with Britain? Should SF be making voters aware that the Socialist Party is a unionist party?

Sinn Fein and Labour were also in the civil war.
