Very good. Mary Lou has a gravitas that's missing in the other Dublin candidates.

    1) I think it would have been better if they had Mary lou speak into the camera instead of appearing to be looking away and up at something or some person. When she says, ‘I know you’re angry too’, she doesn’t even look into the camera then.
    2) At times a bit negative – focuses a good deal on the economy – makes sense to do that but even more so, when this is considered to be a weak point for the shiners.
    3) Wouldn’t be too gone on the music, a bit diddily diddily – overall 6 out of 10.

I am actually surprised by the blandness of it.

It could be summed up as follows - to solve the current crisis 'we need leadership' - brilliant - Bart Simpson couldn't have done better (actually he could). Offers no solutions to dealing with the crisis.

I particularly liked - 'we have shown we can deliver in the North' - well in the North SF have delivered health cuts - privatisation of education - attacks on workers - attempts to introduce water charges - so I suppose you could say they have delievered - the question is what have they delivered?

And one annoying little lie - 'we were the only party to oppose the Lisbon Treaty' - wrong - just as wrong as their claim that they are the only 'all-Ireland' party.

Agreed on all 3 points Al but would give it 7. But you have to admit the candidates are rather attractive - in all senses of the word!

Yeah definitely, she should have been speaking into the camera, it would have been a lot more effective. All in all I think it is great, very motivating.

I'll be honest and say its fairly disappointing.

Won't lose any sleep over it though.

I have to say I wasn't expecting much, and I am surprised (in a good way).

Yes, indeed. Pity about the party though but ah well you can't be a winner on all counts

I would agree that saying "you're angry" when addressing someone off to the side of the camera isn't the best idea.

Also, if SF have made two ads one for here and another for the OSC then why was there so much content from the north in it the one on RTe? Also, if there are two version of these in Irish and English then will Gerry be speaking as Bearla in the Irish version just to be consistent?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.
