Sure not to worry Ray - I assume now that he's not a member of RSF he is no longer a true, real and devout republican..

(We'll not wait on RSF to clarify or deny this for us)

If true, and it's a big if, people should try to remain calm though it calls into question the very nature, nay the existence, of reality.

That said, I think Pat Treanor was down to give the oration for us at Limerick and the paper simply got confused with Des' own commemoration.

Still though, the mind doth boggle mightily.

If untrue id avoid Des Longs street for the next month or 2 due to the combustible essence of righteous Des that will have enveloped the place . His will be the house with the Des shaped hole in the roof , after flying out of his armchair while reading that report .

In years to come, people all over the World will ask, "Where were you the day Des spoke at the Provo event." Truly seismic.

I think it goes without saying that Des Long did not speak at the Provo commemoration, but at the Republican Easter Commemoration in Limerick.

He described the Provos as former Republicans and denounced the Stormont Agreement.

The Limerick Post obviously just made a mistake.
"I hereby declare that the Continuity Executive and the Continuity Army Council are the lawful Executive and Army Council respectively of the Irish Republican Army, and that the governmental authority, delegated in the Proclamation of 1938, now resides in the Continuity Army Council, and its lawful successors."

    Comdt. General Thomas Maguire
