    In Dublin - Kilian Forde

Anyone see a recent 5 page article in In Dublin magazine? Apaprently the article presented a "fair" portrayal of Killian Forde's day to day work and his/Sinn Fein's position on various issues.

This was followed by a letter(s) to In Dublin from a member of the PDs accusing the magazine of being pro-Sinn Fein and asking indignantly why, a 5 page article had been written on Kilian Forde and why only a pargraph was give to some PD (that the In Dublin editor had never even heard of!)

The editor explained that the reasson the 5 page article was about Kilian Forde was because it was an article about Kilian Forde!

I can see the Pds point. Why should Sinn Fein be given any columns inches other than in relation to alleged associations to criminal activity, intelligence gathering, bank robberies, punishment beatings, and teen pregnancies? what sort of democracy is it when the media are left to produce non-sensational journalism such as this? McDowell, get on this, we need regulation.

Has anyone seen the InDublin article?

    What was it?

    This:

"Why should Sinn Fein be given any columns inches other than in relation to alleged associations to criminal activity, intelligence gathering, bank robberies, punishment beatings, and teen pregnancies? what sort of democracy is it when the media are left to produce non-sensational journalism such as this? ..doesn't really make a very good point, does it?
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

It was The Dubliner wasn't it? I read some of it. Liked what they said about Killian but didn't like the way they suggested he was an exception in Sinn Féin.

    It's in here somewhere http://www.thedubliner.ie/

I'm not entirely sure, but I think he was being ironical.

(Just in case he wasn't, a question: teenage pregnancies? Do Shinners have a thing for younger women?)

Well, he said something about teen pregnancies. I was wondering what on earth he was on about.

Sorry, that's about the only thing Sinn Fein haven't been blamed for.
