So what did you think of the Ard Fheis?

I think that it was an excellent Ard Fheis even thoughit was my first time ever attending the Ard Fheis, in saying that however I do believe that some of the motions were a bit of a foregone conclusion and therefore maybe should not have been brought up at the Ard Fheis. I would say this about the motions which would be supported by every member of the party. the vast majority of the speakers were extremely knowledgeable on the issues which they spoke about and I would especially commend those speakers who would not be senior members of the party who showed themselves to be very comfortable in a public setting with the media present.

I was asked to speak on the mental health motions for Ógra, but the queue was cut at Rose Dugdale just in front of me (with no one behind) I had a good speech written too which was really giving it to Bertie. Ah well, such is life.

What I find annoying is when people insist on speaking on motions that are already foregone conclusions. Save the debate for the motions that actually need debating.
